Mini Velour Sequin Surplice Dress

This dress is only going to work for ladies with big chests. It’s very thick and pretty! Shiny! Warm! Winter party outside? This dress would be beautiful. The sequin dress as wierd as this is did cut my fingers when I was taking it off but eh. That’s fine. Size 00 DDD

In hot pursuit to find a dress to wear to my work’s holiday party I decided to try on this dress. This dress did not disappoint. It hit all my curves! I keep getting compliments all night about how great I looked!

Pros: POCKETS Cons: No stretch in hem, sequins shed Size bought: 2 Usual size: 2 Overall, very nice dress. But the dress wouldn’t let me sit down without leaving a mark around my legs from the hem. Getting in the car was difficult. Also shed sequins almost immediately. You definitely need to wear a bra with this one, or the shape makes you look like a bag of potatoes. I barely had enough chest to fill out the top. Great for gals that are heavier in the top than the bottom.

Love this dress! Wore it to a charity gala and received tons of compliments. Sleeves aren’t too long and I love that it has pockets. Top is a little revealing for me, but I pinned it slightly and it worked great.

I need an address for a very fancy New Year’s Eve party for my husband’s work about two days before the event. I finally made it into the store to try some thing on. This was the only dress in the store that looked appropriate for New Year’s Eve. It was on sale and additional 70% off. but they only had a size 14 or or 24. Typically, I wear a size one, in everything from torrid. I wear about an 18 in jeans so I was not confident in trying on the 14 I knew holding up to 24 Was Way too big but my husband told me to go try it on you never know m. I was so surprised, it fit like a glove. It’s definitely a heavy dress, so it’s perfect for winter. The sequins did start falling off randomly, but you don’t even notice. I got so many compliments. This is definitely a style of dress. I would normally not buy because it is tight fitting, but because of the type of fabric it is, it’s very forgiving on any imperfections. I think the best part about this dress was the price it was marked down to $54 then 70% off of that ring up for $24 and change. And it looked like I spent a lot on it. I push the sleeves up to make them look three-quarter sleeve length. I liked this dress, next time, I would wear my hair up to you when I wear this because I had my long hair down and it would get stuck in the sequence. I bought a size 14. I’m typically a size one typically a size 18 Jean, I’m 5’7” tall 230lbs 38B chest.

Absolutely love this dress. Love the fit, love the design, love everything! This dress made me feel stunning and turn heads.

I wore this dress to a gala last night and got a ton of compliments. Yes it’s hard to zip up without help but overall seems like good quality and I don’t plan to wear a sequin party dress more than once a year anyway ;)

Tried on in store. True fit, very pretty. Loved the neckline. The velour weight was very flattering over tummy and hip bumps. However, didn't buy. The sleeves were just TOO much the gathering made for a lot of material that made it heavy and hot, like a sweater. But, if you will be where it's cold it might be OK. It would be AWESOME with mesh puffy sleeves rather than velour.

This dress is absolutely stunning! My standard Torrid size is a 1 and I ordered this in a 16 and it fits perfect! I am 5’4” and the hem hits me mid thigh, not too short. That being said…..like other reviews, the hem at the bottom of the dress is narrow and has zero stretch. Another review mentioned the dress fits like a bodycon and I totally agree. I was able to inch it up over my hips and tummy, but it’s a tight squeeze. Even though the bottom is tight, it is high enough on the thighs that I don’t have any issue with taking normal size steps while walking. I didn’t have the pocket puckers another review mentioned. The fabric feels luxurious and has nice stretch (except the hem) and overall has the weight of a high end garment. Can’t wait to wear this for the holidays!

Wore this to a wedding and got so many compliments. The waist is a little wonky, but it has pockets!!
