Mini Cotton Voile Trapeze Cover-Up Dress

Bought this in store just as a dress (didn’t even know it was supposed to be a cover up) and liked it a lot for the style and pattern. Like other reviews say, the material is very cheap feeling (especially by torrid’s standards, feels more like something you’d find at target) and the fabric is frayed along the seams and the straps are very flimsy (though the dress holds up fine with the straps tucked in instead for me). However, even though it’s thin and light, the material is not see through and is comfortable. I personally like the gauze style top so you can get away with not wearing a bra. I’m 5’5” and bought a 1 (normal size is 16-18 so it fits as normal). Dress covers behind and ends above the knee so good summer dress. If you’re taller and worried about length or have a larger bust you may want to size up. Due to the cheapness of the fabric I would absolutely NOT pay full price, do what I did and wait until you can get a deal on it if you really like the look and want it for yourself.

This dress is so flattering and cute. It’s a perfect a-line and hides the tummy well. The top is supportive and holds my breasts well without a bra. I like the lightweight material of the bottom part of the dress. Even though it’s sold as a cover up, it’s also great as a summer dress. I’m between a size 1 and 2, but I definitely needed a size 2 in this dress to fit my chest (40DDD)

Horrible quality, paper thin and unraveling at all the seams. I’m not sure it’s even wearable after washing it. I’m so disappointed in this cover up. I’ve always been a huge fan of Torrid but this is not Torrid quality.

I just purchased this in store so I haven’t washed it yet but I love it just from seeing/trying it on in store. I typically wear a size 14 and I purchased this in a size 0 fits perfect!

So disappointed in the quality. I ordered to wear as a dress but this wouldn’t even last as a coverup. I’m ok with how thin the fabric is but the edges are all raw with strings coming out. The strings aren’t from stitching, they’re the fabric itself unraveling! This will never survive one wash, probably not even one wear! Returning. 2 stars for color and style only.

I always wash before I wear an item. I followed the washing/drying instructions and it is unraveling like crazy.

I bought this online. Been waiting for a sale and boom. I get it and it's exactly as cute as I expected! Problem is that each flounce is sewn on with a raw edge about 1/2 inch above the seam. That would have been cute as in the online Pic, except for the raw and badly fraying edges.

Perfect for a cute summer dress with a Shaw or what is was made for a swimsuit cover up!! Super cute and flattering!!

I’m not sure why the previous review said it’s too small. I bought my normal size and it fit perfect. Super fun and bright colors. It looks even better in person.

Cute and love the colors but it is NOT made well at all! The layers are not completed and are an unraveling mess of raw edges all throughout the dress. The unraveling started before I wore it so I hand washed it to reduce more damage. No luck. I will be returning it.
