Maxi Challis Off Shoulder Tulip Hem Dress

This dress just arrived in my mail and wow it is beautiful. I usually wear a 1 or 2 in tops and dresses and I got this one in a 2 . The color and design is beautiful. Torrid always has the best dresses, and if you like dresses like I do, this one is top-notch.

Bought this dress about a month ago looking forward to a nice summer dress for my vacation! Such an adorable dress and can’t wait to wear it!

I had bought this to wear to graduation. It’s a pretty dress but had some downsides to it. 1. It’s a tad but see-through. My underwear was visibility and it’s the color of my skin so that was a bit concerning. Maybe needs a layer underneath for those of us who are uncomfortable with that. 2. It was too long for me (I’m 5’5 and it was to my ankles so I nearly tripped) and a bit big. I’m an hourglass shape so for me it fit well on my sides but was too big on my chest and arms. Although I used Torrid cash on it, I will sadly have to return it.

Beautiful yellow dress and well made, but did not work out for my body type. I’d say it runs a bit large. There is a lot of fabric to this dress, and the fabric wrinkles very easily, so that is kinda of a downfall for me. Also, it doesn’t do much for my body shape, but I’m sure it would look awesome on other women with different features.

This is my third dress in this style. I really like the way it looks and the length is good even though I’m only 5ft tall. The only problem with this newer print from this year is it feels tighter in the arms, it fits fine everywhere else and I bought my usual size 0. I don’t know if they’re changing the sizing but besides that I love the dress.

I normally am in between sizes a 1 or a 2 mostly 1. In many cases I can wear a size 1 just fine. 44 C bra, 1 or 2 in bottoms, or a size 16 in pants, 14 if they run big. Size 2 in jackets. I debated and ordered a size 1. The arms are way too tight and so is the bodice part. I thought with smocking it would work. It also seems like the bodice part is quite short. I’m 5’8. The skirt part has lots of material and there are pockets. Too bad now it will just hang in my closet unless I lose at least 30 lbs. Due to there being a lot of material in the skirt it may not be a great choice for a hot day. Other than that it’s a very nice dress that’s why I still gave it 4 stars. For reference I just bought the Torrid maxi body con knitted tank dress that is pink and black striped and it fit me just fine. I also bought the torrid black and white checked romper in a size 1 and it fit fine. I wanted this for a nice cool day summer dress, disappointed.

I have never written a review on Torrid before until now!! I purchased this dress to wear on Easter..as soon as I saw it on me, I instantly FELL IN LOVE with it!! Not only is it super comfortable but it lays so nicely on. I can’t wait to wear it on Easter!! The smocked detail around the bust and shoulders is great…it stays exactly where I want it to lay over my shoulders! I got this in my normal torrid size, which is a 2X - I think I’m going to need to snag the yellow dress too and whatever other prints they may come out with….i love this dress that much! BUY IT!!!

I like the dress but I wear bike shorts under my dresses this dress has the layers in the front but the back half of the dress is super thin and you can see the shorts through the back, probably won’t buy this I. Other prints

Dress is a lovely shade of yellow and I love the tulip hemline.. however, the dress is really thin. nothing a slip won't fix though. I prefer to wear the sleeves up as opposed to off the shoulder and I don't love the look of the dress that way but I will still keep it as I love the color. I'm not confident enough to wear it off my shoulders.

I love this style of dress from Torrid. I have the one with the sunflowers on and it is beautiful. This yellow color is not super bright but is subtle enough to scream spring. I almost always take a size 1 in Torrid dresses and this one was not any different. For reference, 38C, 220 lbs, 5'7 and 3/4.
